How do mods/workshop work on this game?

Is it like L4D2 where most them are safe to use? Sort of a dumb question, but is it safe to use them? Character mods in coop campaign?

yes yes, its safe.. Just download a workshop mod/map and then turn it on in BO3 menu where it says "mods" and if you want a custom zombies workshop map, then just download the map and it should be in your zombie maps

Thank you! Can I say not have an ugly campaign character as well?

You can download custom skins from the workshop If that's what you mean but you can't have 2 mods loaded at once you can use the skins and a map but not the skins and a weapon mod.

Thank you! I Just mostly care about not having to look at that god awful ugly character creation during cutscenes. Playing the campaign with a friend.

how do i load the mods? do they load automatically when i go into the game or what

ive subscribed to some mods but they dont show up in the mods list, any reason why
