Black Ops III Not Launching

I bought black ops 3 the other day and haven't been able to get it working. I hit the play button and it goes to a black screen like the game has launched then instantly crashes and kicks me out, when I try to play again it asks if i want to run it in safe mode or not, either option still have the same outcome.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying files, moving it to my SSD, blocking antivirus/firewall etc etc, graphics drivers and windows are all up to date yet I'm still having the same issue.

is there anyone that knows any other possible fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Remove Run As Admistrator Steam/BOPs3

Go to Task manager > Startup Apps > Disable CCXProcess.exe AND/OR GenuineService.exe

Restart your PC and try launching BO3

CCXProcess is for Adobe
GenuineService is for AutoDesk

Disabling both of these solved the issue for me.

I have Bitdefender (not sure what antivirus you have) and all I needed to do was add blackops3.exe as an exception on my Advanced Threat Defense list so Bitdefender didn't scan it before launching, my antivirus was closing it before it launched cause for some reason it didnt trust it! But this worked for me, everything else failed but this fixed it so hopefully it does for you man

Open up Event Viewer after the game crashes again and under window logs click on application. Look for "Error" under level column, and you will find the error log and more details on what's happening. My error log says this:

What does your error log say?

I've got this exact same Event Log, same issue and everything, I just don't have BitDefender, just Windows Defender. I've added both the exe and folder for BO3 to exclusions in case that may help, but the game still won't launch. Any tips?

you don't have to buy the game again, you just need the files. and FYI the reason bo3 is not launching is due to arxan, the DRM solution applied to the steam version. the windows store version does not have this on it which is why it probably *would* work, but you do you.

yea ignore that previous post. i tried bo3enhanced today, and it does seem to fix the crash, but weirdly enoguh last time i tried it i kept having the same issue
