Workshop items not downloading.
Hi guys, for the last 24hrs I've been unable to download any workshop items.
I click subscribe and the download writing doesn't appear at the bottom of the screen. I have many already download workshop items and they're fine. I followed a google guide on deleting everything in the workshop folder (after unsubbing from my items), sign out-in steam, it immediately downloaded core files for the workshop but when I click subscribe on ANY custom map, it won't download them.

Halp :/

When you tried downloading the custom maps, did you check the Downloads section at the bottom of the Library tab?

As of late, the downloads are not showing up at the bottom but DO actually download when seen from the downloads graph. Launch the game and see if the mods are there.

Thanks for the replies.
After clicking subscribe there is NO network traffic so its not download. I can play BO3 online no problem.

I tried to clear the download cache and the map I subscribed downloaded, but I haven't see the download bar.

this is irritating, especially with the new maps being added that we can't play

The mods downloaded for me today, but there's a catch, you won't see them on the download queue, you can hover your mouse over the steam icon on your system tray, you will see the progress of the download there, I don't know why but it's very weird why is this happening now

Here are some solutions that may help if not already mentioned or attempted:

1. Restarting steam

2. logging in and out of steam

3. Going offline and back online

4. Going to steam settings, found at the top left corner under the Steam tab, going to Downloads,
making sure the "Only auto-update games between:" option is unchecked, the download region is on the closest region to you ( or choose the next closest just to see if it could help) and clearing the download cache

5. Going to your steam workshop files found at traditionally C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop and deleting the file "appworkshop_311210.acf", then restarting steam to have all BO3 workshop files to download again.

While attempting all solutions, please check the download/Network usage graph to see if anything is downloading. If it doesn't seem to be downloading at all, give it some time before deeming these solutions ineffective.

In the event that there is no "appworkshop_311210.acf" file or that it is not the correct file, please tell me as I can help to redirect to the correct file.

I hope these Solutions prove useful.

Yea I've noticed this too. So weird.

I cannot download the custom maps after subscribing to them. Black ops 3 does show "manage downloads" when I right click it in the games menu but it doesn't show anything active downloading. It does show peak mbps and how much of something is downloaded when I try subscribing to a mod. Then when I start the game again the mods are installed. It's a small work around my downloading the mods manually by forcing it in game but you will be only limited to the mods people are currently playing. I still haven't figured out how to download to mods you manually subscribe to....

I think you are correct about the whole check "download/network usage graph" because it does show peaks of internet speed and current disk usage but with nothing showing after subscribing to a mod in the workshop.

I do see the mods present in game after the download status stops but this is only possible if you restart the game.

So I guess black ops 3 is ghosting its custom content for now.

tl;dr Mods download in the background and work only after you restarted the game
Mods do not show that they downloading but show how much they have downloaded.
