How do I make this game playable?

So I just got a GTX 1060 6GB gpu and was hoping that would make playing this game possible. Nope, still runs like ♥♥♥♥. It was playing alright at some settings but I had the audacity to tweak the shadows or some setting and once I do that the whole game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I can't go back.

Geforce Experience has the optimal settings for me listed and it says I should turn on way more settings than I have. Problem is I can't stand launching the game when it takes forever to load in and out of just for it to run like god awful.

I have an fx8350, 8 gb or ram and the gpu stated above.

That's weird, I have the same video card as yours and besides the connection issues, I had almost no performance issues, it runs as good as this filthy port can possibly do...

Do you have Dynamic Shadows and Subsurface Scattering on? Try unmarking them, they say these are glitchy, as the game still looks like a beta 1 year after its release...

The port is just bad i have trouble running it on a 970 and 4690k.

framerate is fine but it stutters a lot especially when there is a lot going on.

CoD doesn't care about pc anymore unfortunately.

Don't use GFE for optimizing! It does a real sh!tty job...
Tweaking the settings in the config.ini file is the way to go.

Thanks for the guide, it seems like the dynamic shadows was really screwing me because I turned it off and it ran without any freezing.

im running 1080p everything maxed....on a 980m you obvioulsy have some set wrong
