Trouble using Xbox One controller with Black Ops 3?
I'm having trouble using my Xbox One controller with BO3. When I plug it in, it seems to be detected as I can move up and down through the menus but I don't think its fully being detected because the ui still shows ESC for menu, B for server browser, not showing LB and RB for moving through the options menu ect, also having to use RT for A. I'm looking for a way for the controller to be fully detected like some of the youtube videos i've seen with others using an Xbox One controller on PC. I assumed it'd just be plug in and play basically but it appears to not be the case.

Before any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comments about using a controller on PC for aim assist, i'm not a multiplayer person I brought this game purely for zombies.

Try turning off your mouse if you haven't already, if playing on laptop disable the mouse pad, other than that all I can say is restart the computer... sorry if that didn't help

im glad you dont use that controller on multiplayer, but it should be just a plug and play, thats all i did a while back with a ps4 controller when i wanted to try it out on zombies. try going into big picture mode, that might help

Also if you haven't paired the controller to the computer do that

Turn off the controller in Steam big picture mode. Then enable the controller in game. Steam is trying to bind your controller with steam controller bindings.

How would I go about turning it off for in big picture mode? I know I have a config on there because i've used it before for another game.
Thanks everyone for such quick replies. I didn't expect it to be near instant.

In Steam Client select Steam -> Settings -> general Controller settings. and disable the controller.

Can't believe that worked. It's amazing how things suddenly stop working properly
