New purchasers get zombies chronicles for free?
When this game came out I bought the game AND the season pass; needless to say, it wasn't cheap. So, new purchasers get zombie chronicles and the game for $60. Us old buyers have to purchase zombie chronicles, on top of the already 60 dollars spent plus the season pass! How does this make any logical sense? If they get it for free, why shouldn't we? Not happy about it, considering it's an insane 30 dollars.

ZC wasn't free when it was released. Only around half a year later they added it to the base game and changed the name to ZC edition on Steam.

Yeah yeah, I'm aware that it wasn't free at first. But now it is free, and from my knowledge, the ZC edition is just the base game with the DLC. So it seems as if that's their way of not giving the original buyers the DLC because it is a new "edition." It just seems a little scummy to me. Why screw the OG buyers that have been supporting the game since day one and make them pay more.

In case you were unaware, games decrease in price over time...

Q: Are you a zombies players and want ZC?
Y: Pay the 30 bucks.
N: Don't pay the 30 bucks.

Really don't know what to tell you. ZC hasn't had a discount either so far (the DLC, not the edition), I also paid full price for it. It's up to you if you wanna spend $30 on 8 maps or not. I play a lot of zombies, it's worth it for me.

Except CoD*, I bet BO3 will still be $59.99 in 2 years from now.

CoD is $80 at launch with no DLC
I payed $80 for BO3 with SP + $40 for ZC
I payed $80 for BO1+BO2+all their DLC
I payed $50 for AW with SP
I payed $26 for Ghosts with SP
I payed $20 for MW3
(approximate prices in CAD)
CoD always sells for less than launch price after launch. You pay a premium to play sooner.

I believe it is worth it to be honest. I just think it's kinda unfair, but that's just me I guess. I only started this thread because I saw no one talking about this in the reviews.

"payed"

I am talking about the base price on Steam and official stores, not any special discounts, bundles or key resellers. BO3 right now is still $59,99/59,99€ and I am talking about US dollar and not bootleg $. 60 bucks was the launch price for BO3 and all other CoDs on PC. Even Ghosts is still 60 bucks. The first game that's actually cheaper is MW3 from 2011. "Paying a premium to play sooner" doesn't apply for a game that was released in 2013. Even BO2 is still 60 bucks and that game is from 2012.

Why would you pay full price for a PC game after launch? If you were to pay $60 USD for ghosts at this point, that would be pretty stupid when you can get a key on a site like king uin for under $7 CAD...

The issue is that not everyone knows or wants to use third party sites. People might use HB, but that's also an official store and secure. Gee too ayy and other sites aren't exactly secure or official. I also bought BO3 on gee too ayy for like 20 bucks back 1 1/2 years ago, but the issue here is that BO3 is still 60 bucks on Steam. Non-official market prices do not matter here and even on sale it's still 40 bucks I believe. I mean a few other games also have really bad pricing like GTA V, which also still sits at its initial release price, but CoD is notorious for it. I wonder if BO3 will ever not be $60. I'd love to see the price history for games like w@w or MW2 and when they actually dropped in price.

I think i remember ZC was 50$ when it came out and now 30? at least it's 40% cheaper than it was, i guess.

I doubt BO3's base price on steam will decrease, maybe better sales though. You can see price history on steamdb.info but it only goes back so far (W@W was $20 in 2014 and got 25% and 50% off sales on that, same for MW2).

It is kind of funny though that ZC is $40 but the ZC edition of the game has been under $40 on Humble.

Never pay full price for cut and paste games like cod. £60-£80 for a pc game that is mostly faked game mechanics and manipulated for getting more money off kids.

Get it on sale if you really want to play.
