Perk-a-cola Question

I just bought BO3 to play zombies with my friends, and was playing Ascension when I noticed that my Juggernog and Speed Cola disappeared. I hadn't been downed at all at that point, and some quick googling told me that perks should stay with you until you're downed. I'm very confused, do perks disappear after a few rounds in BO3 zombies or is it some bizzare bug i'm encountering?

There are space monkeys that will take your perk if you fail to defend the perk machine from them . They spawn in a similair fashion to the dogs ( every 4-6 rounds )

You can rebuy the perks they take. If you kill all the monkeys before they touch a perk machine you can take a free random perk.

There are 2 perks in the wonderfizz machine that are immune to the monkeys effects , but they will use your perk slots regardless . The perks are double tap 2.0 and deadshot .

ascension has monkeys that take perks at the machines.
