Battle.net
A very wise decision. More players + better anti-cheat? Count me in!!!

Don't know why people are salty over this. Is it because they won't get sales/mod support? Get a job lol.

Bo3 is dying on the pc port. Bo4 will shine a new light. Better performance and better chances in getting into a game is all I care about. Something that bo3 fails to do greatly...

(It literally takes 2 mins just to install Battle.net. And it hardly takes up any space lol.) Plus you can still use the steam overlay for it so you can message your friends and such, lol...

**EDIT**
Let's be open minded about this, yeah? If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But "What if?"
Let's not overreact over something that MAY be best for us.

I won't buy cod on battle.net, that is just stupid. I got my COD Collection on Steam, not going to switch now..

Guys, there is any place to track how many people are online and playing in battle.net games?
Best we got it https://newzoo.com/insights/rankings/top-20-core-pc-games/

Nice, this is not like steamcharts.com but it's Ok.

MUCH BETTER anti cheat no, it's far from the best
-better community maybe
-mod support maybe

-better for the community
-If you've actually did some research, then you would know that bo4 will actually have dedicated servers.
- There will be more players
- And YES blizzard has the best anti cheat system in the world, you can cheat for let's say a day and then you are going to get caught and blizzard will perma/hardware ban you.
-True
-Confirmed

If you did some research you would learn that activision lied countless times about many issues with pc cod games. Not going to waste time gathering from the past games but example from the last one about the anti cheat. They said after a disastrous pc beta that they would roll out anti cheat suite on release. Then release came and went with many cheats and not a word from them and you still see cheaters not getting banned. They say whatever all the time to get sales because they know they can get away with it. People who are interested in the next game will want to believe them since it fits what they desire yet doesn't match reality. Every year for at least the past 5 games a while before release the dev tells us that THIS time the pc development got very special care and blah blah. Anyways just look how they broke bo3 pc for a lot of users and didn't fix it in like 2 months that will tell you about what they do.

Im curious.
1. Can player host dedicated server?
2. Can we have modding tools?
3. Can I install game on network drive(NAS)?

Battle net works this way...
I want to play one match of Starcraft Remastered before going to bed... updating the app.
I leave the app open to not run into this... then updating again, cant care less. Its like the windows 10 of the gaming apps, sorry "I have to update, cant care less if you arent a rich kid with a 50mb internet connection"
Talking with friends is a pain, no interface for chatting by text on some games.
Lot of icons of games I cant care less including Overwatch...

Then no battle.net games on humble bundle, or greenmangaming or many other stores which offers good sales on games that are on steam but still full price, i remember when I got a discount coupon for the Witcher 3 launch when the game was full price.

I cant see how battle.net could be any better than Steam, its a closed store in everyway, no way to collect data, no way to see the trends, no way to get those games outside Blizzard Store.
If Activision never wanted to use VAC it was devs decisions, if you pay 60$ for a game which doesnt have a decent anti hacker software, is customers fault.

If you think this is a smart move, you are just a corporate drone. The game will be pretty much dead on PC, its way better to get in consoles.

ALSO I FORGOT TO ADD.
You cant copy your game to your other computer and make the blizzard app to recognize the game already installed on your hard disk.
I have tried this so many times with SC and SC2, I tried to copy my installations to the blizzard folder in another computer and the app doesnt recognizes them, the app deletes all the game files and starts to download all of them again.
Imagine how annoying is with a 25 gb game like SC2, just imagine with COD BO III and its 76 gb of download. If you arent an owner of a 50mb internet connection try to avoid battle.net as much as you can.

No, you arent openminded when you come with the straight lie about not hackers on battle.net
Also I cant call openminded to someone who thinks closed stores are cool, if I want to be under the hammer of one store, Ill be playing on PS4 and its only store, PSN.
I like PC because I can get games from Humble Bundle and many other stores, steam keys, no DRM games, direct downloads, here you and FOX want to be on a store which even are so close we cant get any data of how many people is playing X game so we cant see if the game is still alive. A battle.net buy is a blind buy, at least you can say COD will be alive on consoles, because there is not much competition in shooters, but in PC? BO3 isnt even on top 75, despite is not a bad game, the thing here is we have much to play here.

As I said why Ill want to be to move to a store which app doesnt even recognizes my games installed on the hard disk?
Even Origin recognized my battlefield 1 files, I didnt have to download the whole game once again.

Talking about openminded? Release the game on both stores, release the game on Origin too, why not GOG? Nope, lets monopolized the game under one store. Another DRM layer, as it wasnt enough with Uplay...

You're not being openminded. And for godsake, please do some reseach on Battle.net on their anti-cheat system before being negative about it. Proves you don't even use battle.net. thus rendering the conversation useless, lol

I don't know why you're praising battle net when it literally has nothing redeemable about it other than not being full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anime games or asset flips like Steam is.
