How to play Custom Zombies?

I need some help for the Bo3 Custom maps. I've got the game and all I want to do is play some custom zombies map. I don't want to make maps, just play some maps.
So from what I understood you need to download the Black Ops 3 Mod Tools (under library> tools) to play some custom zombies maps.
I was suprised how big the file was. 23gb! 4 hours to download. I was fine about it until later it said 46.5gb!!! What the actual f***? Now I stopped downloading it because it was going to take 6 hours to download. I look down at tools through my library and it says;
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Mod Tools Ready to play" What?
I have 42.8gb left to download. Can someone explain me what the hell is going on? Either I'm not understanding this or steam has clearly got a bug going on.

u dont need mod tools to play custom maps, its only to create your own maps.
in order to play custom maps u need to download them from workshop

You only need the tools if you want to create your own mod tools.
