[Solved] BO3 Crash on start
********************Comodo doesn't uninstall just cause you uninstall it, google the Comodo Uninstaller Tool, it's in their forums and it seems to have fixed my problem. ***********************

I have already followed everything here : http://steamcommunity.com/app/311210/discussions/0/1290691937716725262/
I have no Antivirus software
I have started the game and steam both with admin privs, only one, and neither with admin privileges
I have downloaded someone else's cfg since I had no cfg in my players folder
I was able to run the game back in the beta and initial release week, it's not a problem of specs

You have something on your PC that is causing a software conflict. It might either be malware/virus because you are saying you aren't running any AV software or it could be a rogue app that you aren't disabling properly in the clean boot.

Disable the Steam FPS counter or any other FPS counters that you may have.

Also Disable or add exceptions to your Firewall.

I don't have any FPS counter via steam or anything else, and I've already added an exception for the BO3 exe to the windows firewall, is there anything else I need to add an exception for or something?

I do not have any malware or viruses, I scanned with malware bytes before the clean boot and it came up with nothing. And I most definitely did not mess up clean boot, to make absolutely sure I didn't mess anything up I followed a step by step guide. Also you have the list of everything running before I ran Black Ops 3, you can see if there is anything there that looks off.

I thought I had uninstalled Comodo months ago, apparently it sets it up to reinstall without your knowledge, I downloaded a community developed tool that was made to uninstall their products, hopefully this truly works.

Cheat Engine has nothing to do with this, I'd appreciate it if you'd stay on track, I know it's not the most fun thing in the world to be tech support but you're not being paid to lecture me on what programs I choose to have on my computer that have nothing to do with the problem at hand.

Anyway thank you for noticing that Comodo was there, that seems to have fixed it. Take it easy

As long as you don't do anything stupid you're very unlikely to get a virus, I check my computer every 4 or 5 months and I never come up with anything even tho I haven't had an antivirus in years

I'm not lecturing you. I'm telling you, you have Cheat Engine installed. You have no idea what Cheat engine and similar programs loads or installs onto your system. Even if you uninstall it, you cannot be sure that it removes everything. i don't even know if a clean boot would even detect and kill all of CEs processes. You uninstalled Comodo and it left stuff running behind on your PC and Comodo is a legitimate company.

If you want to continue having it on your PC, then that is on you.

IT ONLY HAPPENED AFTER YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "UPDATE"...

Nice try trying to push us over to WW2.

so cheatengine has been good to me for years now, i think COD put something in to make it QTD when it see's it in the process list, I actually love that, I was just hoping to use it for some points in a private game of zombies to check out the guns but hey if it prevents cheaters online, hell yeah. That being said they could probably write a script that says if game is in offline mode it'll be fine , but hey it is what it is. That being said, Cheatenigne is overall safe to use. 10yr user offline games only.
