ps4 controller and black ops 3

so, for the longest time, I've had issues with my ps4 controller and playing black ops 3. whenever I try to do something, my controller completely freaks out and starts doing random things. tonight, my game kept rapidly switching between keyboard & mouse and my controller, even when the mouse was unplugged. it's really maddening. I've done everything I could think of.

Try disabling ps4 controller support in steam then download the DS4Tool and emulate the ps4 controller as an xbox controller then hit the ps4 button and touchpad at the same time to disable the touchpad. Also make sure you don't have any stuck keys on your keyboard(unplug keyboard to test) http://ds4windows.com/

Download a program called DS4 Windows and google a toturial on how to plug the ps4 controller to your pc with the program\

What OS are you on. Some of the older windows do not have native support for PS controllers. Also double check steam controller settings. Steam sometimes like to try to force steam controller settings on controllers. Try going into steam controller settings and disable PS4 controller. Then boot up the BO3 and enable controllers in the in game menu.

i've messed with the steam controller settings. i've messed with in-game settings. my OS is windows 10

and for everyone else here, i don't play online. i just play zombies on black ops 3. soooo... stop fighting on my thread, please.

If it is switching between kb/mouse and controller issue, I would suggest checking your hardware. i had issues before where thumbsticks were slightly miscalculated or keys getting stuck and that may cause the switching between input devices you described.
