Black ops 3 is stuck running in the background

I have tried everything that people have said to try but none of them have worked.
-uninstall reinstall
-clean boot
-I don't have nzxt cam and I uninstalled overwolf and razor cortex.
-I turned of avast behaviour shield. And I added it to the exeption list.
-I have deleted the exe and verified the game cash.
Nothing has worked please help

I got the same problem. When i try to run the game it asks me to go into safe mode or not. I have tried both options and they didn't work.

Add Bo3 to your Anti-virus exeption list, or disable it when you go to play, you should be fine.

I have iObit Malware Fighter and i have tried turning it off and i still couldn't run it. It would keep running in the background.

TODAY!!!!

I have had this issue for two months so after a clean install of Windows and the game to no avail I thought I would uninstall all of it. But to save myself downloading it all again I moved the steam folder over to one of my other drives

I uninstalled steam off the C drive and just for fun I thought I would open steam off the other drive and after steam sorted its self out I ran the game AND IT HAS RUN PERFECTLY THREE TIME NOW

Can you send us a process list before and after a clean boot? Quick way to get your process list,

Open, CMD as Administrator
Type, tasklist > C:\tasklist.txt
The tasklist.txt file will then be located in your root C: directory
Save a tasklist_before.txt and a tasklist_after.txt from before and after a clean boot
Post the tasklists to pastebin and shoot us the links

1) did you add the entire BO3 folder to AVAST exception list.

2) Did you perform a clean boot per instruction from the guide. I still see lots of non essential process on your pc in your after list.

and should i install the campain and the multiplayer dlc right now i just have zombies nuketown and multiplayer
