If you intend to play on two different machines (not split-screen) then both will need the DLC I reckon. Does this game even support LAN though?

This game doesn't support LAN that I know of, the last one that did I think was COD4MW the original title. I heard MW3 did as well, but never tried it.

Well that's a shame. But even so there are games like Payday 2 where only the host needs to own the DLC to play on the DLC maps, which is great.
I guess we'll buy it on a sale then. Even then 2 copies of the game itself and the DLC will cost 90€ :D
So does this "zombie chronicles" DLC give you all the previous zombies maps from the other games? Is it any good?

No. You get 8 out of the 22 main Treyarch zombies maps.
