Do you need DLC to play custom maps?

I'm interested in getting this simply for the custom zombies, as I already have almost all of the DLC on the Xbox version, and was wondering if I need to own the DLC to play maps that use items from the DLC maps such as Der Eisendrache, Revelations, etc.

Yes, but you need the full game, not just the multiplayer starter pack.
