Cant switch to rocket launcher in Rise and fall mission

I am in the mission Rise and fall where you have to destroy the enemy ASP. You have to disable it and shoot it with a rocket launcher. But whenever I switch from my rocket launcher to my primary, I can't use the rocket launcher again. And I can't pick up another one. I have tried pressing every key on my keyboard to no effect.

Have you checked your key bindings? It's been a while since I played the campaign but I believe the rocket launcher counts as a special weapon, i.e. simply switching weapons won't bring it out.

by default, the rocket launcher is bound to button nr4, well its same for all those kind of special weapons which is also the spike launcher etc.

yup, in the key bindings section its named the number 4 key so i didnt bother reading description when everything else was named what it actually did so it threw me off.
