Black Ops 3 doesn't start
I have Black Ops 3 on my PC. When I click it, the game simply doesn't start. Nothing happens when I click it. It used to work before, like a month ago, but now when I click it, nothing happens. It shows up in the task manager but nothing happens on screen. I have really good gaming PC, and the game used to work, like I mentioned earlier. In case you want to check my PC parts, here is the link, http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/CpwPxr. Thanks for the help.

What I have already tried:

- verified all the files infinite times
- uninstalled and downloaded the entire game from scratch twice
- deleted steam appcache
- reinstalled steam

Also, I don't if this could be the cause, but steam doesn't work either. I can open the library and thats pretty much it. Can't open the store, account or anything else, it just keeps loading forever. I've tried to reinstall steam but it still doesn't work.

Someone please help, THX

I have an AMD graphic card and can't launch it. I played this game a couple months ago, but now it doesn't launch.
Also, a detail: When i start, the game says that I must launch it in secure mode (resetting graphics settings), but nothing happens whetever I click yes or no.

EDIT: I also have no antivirus, just Windows Defender.
AMD have software that can cause issues with Steam. If you have these, disable them.
AMD External Event Utility
ATI Hotkey Poller
ATI Tray Tools
Catalyst AI

Open task manager, under start up, disable them. Test game.

Yes thats what it was. There is a lot of software that can cause issues with BO3. NZXT cam is know for problems. Dvr n monitoring software just like anti virus causes a lot of headaches for ppl.

Solution for me was to close Overwolf. It has an overlay system that draws my fps, which had now begun to stop Black Ops 3 from working.

I had the same problem, BO3 would just stay in background processes. So I did a clean boot -

Then started the apps/services I usually have running one by one each time relaunching BO3 and found that Razer Cortex was the culprit.

The way myself and many others fixed it was by turning off programs such as Razor Cortex and Overwolf. Hope this helps!

The few applications I closed before the game opened for me were Gyazo and Razer Central. That includes closing Razer Cortex as I right clicked on the Razer Central icon and closed all apps.

Do you have CAM installed? I had it installed and when I uninstalled it bo3 booted up fine.

(CAM is a temp/fps reader from NZXT that's a buggy mess)
Thanks that was the problem for me

I have a fix! Find your antivirus and allow CoD to run without interruptions... I have Avast and I just went to settings and exclusions. I hope this works for somebody.

Yeah, so if you have any sort of anti-malware sort of thing, i just disabled AVG and it worked, so go to your BO3 Folder, go to the main drive and delete the "$AVGVAULT" file. But it is hidden, so you need to be able to see hidden objects, delete that, disable anti-virus, and ta-da, it worked for me :steamhappy:

Oh my **** God.
I had the same issue. And one thing was different the last time i played the game. I installed Razer Cortex. Suddenly after i closed it the game just launched flawlessly. Great. It's not the first time i had problems with this software. Don't ever use Razer Cortex.
