How to conect controller?

I got a steam link and a pc when i want to play with a controller on black ops 3 it thinks i use a keyboard and mouse... ANd no i dont need a adapter because i used bluetooth on steam link with controller! Please help!

if u trying to use a wireless controller from xbox or so be it ps aswel, u gonna need a controller software such as 4xim etc but i heard these kind of softwares counts as cheat and might get u banned eventually.
So if u want to play without the need of a controller software and the chance for ban, i recommend u buy a new controller instead thats specially made for PC..

I just bought myself a new xbox controller that was made for PC to use in another game that was not even ment for kb/m layout, the original xboc controller didnt even work at first since its not made for PC, so i had 2 options: download a controller software that would most likely ban u, or simply buy a brand new controller made for PC...

Plug in your controller, then in steam big picture mode disable the controller. While in game re-enble the controller. Steam is trying to force Steam controller bindings to your controller.

I'm ding that all the time when i use a controller in games :/ normaly it works in games like skyrim GTA v the crew in bo3 it works but it thinks i had a keyboard because it says like click g to throw a grenate c to bla bla bla shift to run etc

its giving you keyboard prompt because Steam is trying to bind it as a steam contorller. Did you disable controller in your steam client like I instructioned?

You mean unplug the controller or disable it in big picture's settings?
