The recent patch notes claim that it tried to reduce hte ability to use exploitative third party peripherals to exploit the aim assist system. However, in observing a known XIM4 user, it appeared to make zero difference to his aim assist.

If a XIM4 is legal, please do let us know so others can safely obtain one. If it is not, please do something about players using it to exploit the aim assist system.

How about just not use one at all either way, banned or not banned they are still cheats as they give keyboard/mouse users aim assist

How could the use of a mouse and keyboard adapter be considered "abusing" in a PC video game? In the console environment it's debatable non-fairplay but that's it. On PC it might even be a disadvantage considering it introduces more input lag.

No he is not using xim4 100% sure and the reason is when you hold the first video at 1.35 you can see "press Del to respawn".ok now xim4 emulate m/kb to xinputs which the game think its using controller so in the above case the game should notify you as "press X to respawn".
bit im 100% sure this guy is using tauct venom x adaptor which support pc officially, xim4 does not though

The video is NOT of the person recording the video using a XIM4. The video is him getting killed by the person using hte XIM4, and the respective killcams showing it.

It is abusive due to the sheer overkill absurdity of how much BO3's aim assist clings to an enemy. It's already insane enough to make a controller stand up competently against the high precision and twitch of a M+K, so combine the benefits of an M+K in an FPS setting with that extremely overactive aim assist, and you get a almost invariably winning combination. Twitch to the general direction of an enemy, and the aim assist makes sure that twitch sticks on them.

yes you are right about that but on the other hand this guy has 37 bo3 screenshots and on every single screenshot he uses m+kb. how big is the chance he unpluged every single time his xim4 only to make a screenshot.

Just to clarify, Armsdealer is most likely NOT using a XIM. The purpose of the video is that it shows him (Armsdealer) in matches against Cubas, in which Cubas gets numerous kills caught on killcam that show strong evidence of XIM in the twitch and Aim Assist in the sticking.

However, to get BO3 to alternate the controls shown is as simple as giving an input on the other device. For example, if you have a controller and a keyboard plugged in, then BO3 will instantaneously switch its mode between whichever gave the most recent input, even during a match. So, unplugging the XIM would not be necessary, it'd be as simple as giving a keybaord input with a non-XIM keyboard and leaving the XIM alone, also worth noting since technically you'd have no Steam screenshot key on the XIM keyboard.

you don't had to unplug m/kb as you can bind any key for any action in xim manager or venomx soft.again its not xim4 but venom x,btw you do also has aim assist by looking your gameplay you stick to target like controller.)

Simply because it allows you to have aim assist with mouse and keyboard. Don't try to sugarcoat this issue with input lag or anything, it is a fact that using this tool gives one a massive advantage over other kb+m players. When aim assist does a huge part of aiming for you, you have an advantage over those who have to aim 100% manually. Whatever the case, BO3 security policy quite explicitly states that use of any third party peripheral devices to interfere with the game results in a ban, and that policy should be enforced strictly.

but the problem is xim4 or venomx could not be detected.... as the game think its using a controller unless you abuse it for example you enable macros or jitter mod and the patch was actually for that reason

I know a player that was GOD on BO3 with a XIM. Hardly a disadvantage at all!
It is a cheat since it allows aim assist on KBM, however I doubt Treyarch has the tools to determine if it is a XIM or controller in use.

Then I say that Treyarch should be FORCED to either elimitate aiming assist or enable it for every one. And if in their next game they hide the aiming assist so that it activates only for controllers and we find out about it, then the devs should be assassinated (preferably with a bomb). Because not buying and playing the game is clearly not an option :)

I agree, Treyarch is the only CoD Dev which get my cash!
However, I wonder just how this experiment has turned out.
It was supposed to increase the player base, has it?
If it has, what percentage of these new players are using a 3rd party addon?

Personally, in 2018 (Treyarch's next CoD) I will be waiting to see if AA is still a "feature" on PC. If they keep AA, I might not buy it.

BO2 is still a grat game!
