I76700k 4.6 stable
16gb Ram
1080 gtx
windows 10 latest build.
Started to happen at the same time infinite warfare came out and the bo3 update at the time. Been like it ever since.
Fresh install of the game,
Fresh install windows.
AW is smooth
ghosts is smooth
and just bcoz another game runs smooth, it doesnt mean another 2nd game will do it, its like comparing CoD1 to bo3.... coD is 1 older, hence it dont need such a good pc or configuration. while a new game might need some finetweaks..
u got a way better pc than me but i have no stutters or lag at all, only time i have lag are if the host has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet...
i just found this after some google aswell, which seems rare for people to use...
this can be changed in config-ini file.
SerializeRender (0, 1, or 2) -- 0 use two threads, one thread update frame N while the second render N-1. 1 concatenate update and render. 2 concatenate update render and frame presentation. 0 is the default for the best performance, 1 and 2 improve latency but require a powerful CPU. Do not change from 0 unless you have serious stuttering/multithreading problems.
what it means, i have no clue about but might be worth to check since it mentioned stuttering..
this contains other informations but might still prove useful. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=549105008
You can also try messing with the videomemory in the config file. Try .75, .85 or 1.
Forget about your other games, they have no barring on BO3.
You could have software installed that BO3 simply doesn't like just cause it didn't happen before doesn't really mean much. Ive seen software get updated or even BO3 get updated and found out it was software that was causing the issue. Why all of a sudden, who knows.
Open task manager, under start up tab, disable any programs. Test game and see if it's working. If it works then you have a program that's conflicting with the game/Steam.
If nothing works, list what software you have installed? Some software does not show up in the task manager, you may just have it installed or you could actively be using it. Some have to even be turned off/disabled in the software itself.
I have no software installed different to when the game ran well before infinite warfare came out.
different video drivers dont change anything. even using different sound devices have no change in the lag.
Join another lobby with two people with over 80 pings back to lag and stutter
I am not saying this is what is happening with you but to many ppl keep ignoring the software on their computer because it was there then something happened. The something happened is likely a update from the software/game that's on your computer. Doesn't matter if it was the game or some software that updated, what's important is finding the software that's causing the issue. I am not syaing this is your issue, it's simply what typically is going on with peoples computers.
This type of issue can come after a update. I have personally seen this with my own connection. Be fine for awhile then a update came, never was the same. This would happen for various games but it was a lot more noticeable in BO series cause I believe their servers aren't very good and they're simply aren't enough of them. Im sure coding plays are part in there somewhere.
I went from CenturyLink to Spectrum, what a difference. Speed and overall connection was like 10x better. BO3 became much smoother, I am referring to lag/ping. Even when 100 or 200 pingers came in, I don't even feel or notice it compared to before. I hardly ever go above 80 and im typically between 40-60 ping.
