Lockpick only goes far left or right

When lockpicking at the real estate place, the lockpick only goes far left or far right. It jumps from one to the other when moving the mouse. I've tried adjusting sensitivity and restarting the game. Neither of these affected it.

I can relate to this problem, I am currently having this issue with my game as we speak. I can't lock-pick any doors cause it either full left or right, not in between, to open the doors. Plz patch the issue ASAP

I had this problem as well but i fixed it by using a controller and it will also automatically switch so no need to log out and log back in, hope this helps all of you

Try moving your cursor closer to the center of the lock. There is a sweet spot where you can move it like it should.

I just got the pick but two doors in a row were like that I got it to move but super small movements of the mouse I almost gave up on one.

Same issue for me. It did not work. I tried changing the cursor speed, but did not work. It is so bugged.

Can confirm, used an xbox controller to get through the lockpicking, put controller down and went back to keyboard+mouse with zero issues.

*EDIT*
I've also noticed that after using the controller once to open a door, it starts working correctly for my mouse too.

It's a janky work around but it definitely works lol
