We've added a "ghost" trail of where the laser will be reflected. It will be included in the upcoming update and should make the puzzle easier to mess around with and fun again. Sorry for your frustration!
The little schematic in the background shows squares that are lit and others that are not.
When you turn on one of the two devices, the beam must light up the same squares that are lit in the schematic and must also not pass through where the squares are dark in the schematic.
You must do this for the left and right device 3 times (so, 6 puzzles to replicate in total).
The really horrible thing is (and one of my con if I ever write a review) is that, if you're using a gamepad, you should switch to mouse+keyboard just for this segment, because the analog stick is way too sensitive and doing the puzzle requires to not move your aim once you activate your shield, so that -- if you accidently aim the beam on a box you didn't want to flip -- you can quickly deactivate and reactivate your shield to put it back in the position you want (and then nudge your aim a little toward where you want the beam to hit).
<edit> I was too late! :P
That's great news, adding the ghost trail will really help!
Ghost trails won't help. Maybe find some way to make aiming the laser less cumbersom or maybe place the tiles so they're not so close together or something.
Do both of the beams count? As in are they "on" while not active or does one of them need to be active and pass through the highlights or what?
When i light the tile, the graphic doesn't change, the behavior does though ... took me a while and this thread to understand what was going on ...
I found the ghost trails help a lot, they show you exactly which tile you will flip, and should easily hewlp you avoid hitting the wrong one. I'm not sure how someone above found the tiles too small to see? Are you playing on a t.v from across the room thats makes them so small? Don't forget you can direct the light beam to the left (by bouncing off the shiny wall plate) as well as the right - this makes it easier to hit the ones you want :-)
Not a bug - the graphic is your target pattern that you need tro achieve. The bahaviour changes based on the direction the tiles/mirrors are facing.
- There's only 4 puzzle stages now, so I guess the devs know how frustrating it is
- The key is to *avoid* lighting the black tiles; and yes, lighting the white ones. It doesn't matter how much the tile is lit, if the laser visits the tile, it's lit.
- A simple solution for the devs would have been to show the tiles that are wrong somehow, as the puzzle (still) stands it's rather obtuse.
Sadly this puzzle made me give up on this quite cool game. I just can't figure this puzzle out.
The controlls (no matter if keyboard+mouse or joypad) are simply too sensitive and I get no indicator of what in the world am I doing. :(
Switching the panels back and forth after lightning one block is simply tedious.
My way is sadly ending on this puzzle. :(
Hello from the beginning of 2024. There's a walkthrough guides in case you need one. I can also help you if you need.
