This game is a bad Vampire Survivors clone that uses units instead of weapons. You loop randomly generated rooms to attack enemies and nodes for resources. The resources are used to level, gain and upgrade passives, and unlock more rooms. It has three stages. Each with six difficulties that all have three objectives. You unlock more difficulties by completing the objectives and progression is shared between the three stages. After ~32 hours I am halfway through, the gameplay hasn't changed in any significant way, and know the experience won't improve.

I Am Legion: Stand Survivors isn’t a bad game, but it’s not amazing either. It can definitely be addictive, but it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, and the gameplay gets pretty repetitive. There are a bunch of stands (or "minions," whatever you want to call them) that you can fuse together, which is probably the best part of the game. That said, there’s not enough variety to keep you hooked for too long. I just don’t think there’s enough here to make you want to really "beat" the game.

The maps are repetitive too. Every time you open a door, you end up in a square where the same three objects spawn over and over. It’s fun at first, but it gets boring pretty quickly. The level designs and unlocks feel kind of pointless. You have these small missions to complete, but the game doesn’t explain things very well, and the sessions are too short to really finish them. For example, one mission asks you to "gain 4 purple blessings." I swear I did that multiple times, but I couldn’t tell if I was doing it right or even close to completing it. Another mission asks you to "fuse 4 purple stands," but the game never seems to last long enough to get to 4 without pure luck when buying them.

Then there’s the "shop" screen, which feels a bit like a casino. I’ll be one stand away from unlocking something new, but the RNG is brutal. I’ve rerolled more than 10 times before, and still got nothing. In the end, this game has a lot of potential, but it feels underdeveloped or like some things are just poorly designed.

I’m still giving this game a thumbs up because I enjoyed it enough to keep playing, but it definitely needs some work before it’s anything more than "okay." I’d give it a 6 out of 10 enemy stands.
