Vampire passive "Vampire Body" not working
Hi,
i am not 100% sure how it work, but i get "+2 Life drain" for 5% hp loss due passive only at start hp. A moment man get +max hp or uses shrine, it stops stacking (Âncient Forest, challenge 4 ist best map to test it, because of quest). After that i get it only random.
Thx for help :)

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the quest for 100 drain as well. Not sure how it works tbh or there may be a bug? I noticed he starts with higher drain and then it just keeps reducing lower instead of increasing.

I really think it's a bug because it looks like the character stops losing life. I've got the character up to level 8, but I'm not sure how to increase drain to 100 for the quest...I've put the maximum points into the tree, focused on Wolf stands, gear with drain, tried increasing HP and room bonuses. Anyone got this quest done?
The achievement only look at the life drain stats (under primary), just get it to 100 with the help of equipment.

Of course I tried with equipment but my drain number ended lower than it was at the outset of the round....how is this even possible???
You get 2 hp drain per 5% life missing. But that's not permanent, let's say your character is at 35% HP -> You get 30 life drain Now you pick up some hearts and your HP is back at 90% you'll loose those 30 life drain and only get 4 because you're only missing 10% life.
Problem is, the innate vampiric healing is so strong that - at least on this particular map challenge - I can stand in damage zones without ever falling below 70% life or so. Which means, I can't get full advantage of the life drain bonus. Vampire too strong I guess? :prsmug:

EDIT: I've done the quest now. I had to go to talents and remove all points from armor and regeneration. Also, I took all ore- and gold-related blessings; which resulted in 5 red items with life drain, and 1 purple one.

ah, thx for explaining. but i would then recommend to change description of abillity to "When Vampire´s HP is higher than 35%, lose 5% HP/s, and for every 5% HP MISSING, get +2 Life drain" :lunar2019coolpig:
"and for every 5% HP lost, +2 Life drain"sounds like its permanent

Thanks guys, I'm going to try again shortly. I did attempt removing regen but didn't go all the way with the rest of the recommendations after not seeing any improvement...figured it was bugged and moved on to other quests. Excited to try it now. thx again
Ok I just got it, thank you all again. For anyone else struggling - the key is get empty armor, empty regen, 5/5 life drain, 5/5 HP, the rest into Resources - and most important - STAND STILL during the first boss. It's the only way I got my health down. If your Vamp character is level 10, it's going to be tough to die if not impossible if you're moving. And take as many blacksmith stands as you can, the rest the money dude. All 3 star stands, no blues, no purples so you don't trigger the Vamp bonus.

And to the point on being hard to die, I really think the devs made a mistake by buffing XP right after releasing the game to appease a handful of people. We're all going to have maxed out our meta progression trees well in advance of the final missions it seems. The game is definitely feeling like it's too easy, as far defeating the bosses and not dying...and I still haven't even filled out my tree.

Of course, I haven't reached the final quests yet. But that's really smoke and mirrors as far as the core game's level of challenge. IMO based on where I am in the game, I really think they should've ignored any complaints about difficulty unless the person had a level 10 character. That level 10 skill is very powerful.

Had also problems with this challenge. Might as well add some additional information and an alternative build for players who have already unlocked a lot in the talent tree. No need to respec.

It's basically a Tycoon / unlock rooms rush.

Get a Tycoon purple stand as fast as possible. That's 150 gold per skill activation. Get some gold blessings on top and you will open several rooms early. New rooms have lots of resources. That will help you to get more Tycoons and open more rooms.

Get 3 Tycoons. Then get another Tycoon and a Werewolf OR Wolf Knight purple stand. Those trigger the Vampire Archenemy 2 Synergy for a +15 Life drain bonus. With your talent tree that's already 25 life drain.

Open up all rooms. Maybe not the last one (8k to open). With 4 Tycoons you will be swimming in money. With so many rooms open you will have ores for days.

Craft and reforge red and yellow items. Reforge Master in the Ancient part of the talent tree allows you to pick one of two alternatives while reforging. And then it's just fine tuning so your armor/ regen isn't too high so that the end boss can get your life low enough. Also obviously stay away from armor/ regen blessings.

You need to get 37 - 75 Life drain (LD) from equipment. Depends on how low your life gets. Red items can give you 18/ 20/ 38 LD. So technically all you need is an "enchanted" Star Bracelet. Yellow items can have a +12 LD enchantment. Anything lower is probably not worth it. And there is a +3 LD blessing.

So technically it is even possible to beat this challenge with full life. But that's way too RNG heavy. Reforges for red items start at 3k.

This strategy won't work every time. But it's a fun way if you like a bit of grinding.

How do you reforge equipment? I have the skill, but I've never seen anything pop up for a reforge?

Drag it to the right, an anvil will appear in the UI, drop it there.

Alternatively if you use an XBox controller you select an item (while at an anvil), press the X button and select Reforge.
