Cloud Save Errors and Data Loss

If you accidentally lose your save data while playing, you can recover your most recent game progress by following these steps:

1. Locate the backup folder by opening:

C:\Users\{Your Username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Stand Survivors\Data-bak

(Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default.)

Alternatively, press Win + R, type:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Stand Survivors\Data-bak

and press Enter. Find the folder corresponding to your Steam ID (if you only have one account, there will be only one folder).

2. Copy this folder to a separate location to prevent accidental overwrites.

3. The files player_0.sav, player_1.sav, and so on are your most recent game save files from your last few game sessions. Starting from player_0, check them in order. Typically, the file with the largest size is your most recent save. Rename the selected save file to player.sav.

4. Launch the game via Steam. Copy player.sav to:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Stand Survivors\Data

Enter the folder corresponding to your Steam ID and replace the existing file. Then exit the game (this ensures the Steam Cloud save is updated). Restart the game, and your save data should be restored.
