No Geometry Wars 2?

So now we have 1 and 3 on PC. But I still would like to see the second one, I enjoyed playing it on Xbox 360 :(

Well, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved was a 360 exclusive for two years before being put to PC. (Different publisher I know, but still)
I know it's been six years, but we can still dream, right?

It would be cool if they ported 1 & 2 to the 3 engine and released it as DLC or something like Halo Anniversary.

Gonna pull the trigger on this, but prolly not till it goes on sale

Out of any, I'd fight blind for the Wii version, that game was solid as all hell, days and days of enjoyment

Even if it doesnt happen im glad that gw3 is on pc and its going to have all the classic modes that geo wars 2 had except sequence..For me thats a win...

there is a Nintendo DS version of geometry wars, it's named Geometry Wars Galaxyes and incluede also GW retro evolved. Maybe this version for DS is the 2° chapter of the series

You mean natively on PC? Cause Dolphin emulates my (legally obtained from E.B. Games) copy of Geometry Wars Galaxies flawlessly. Take a look:

Honestly I think with games that emulate that well on modern hardware (no frame dips whatsoever), they might not even NEED to port it, especially if they make a deal with Dolphin's devs to use the emulator in a commercial PC version. Obviously native would work much better, but if they lost the source code or whatever, Dolphin remains completely viable to run it.

Still baffled as to why devs don't use the open source emulators in commerical products tbh; they're better than any officially developed emulator used commercially AFAIK, and yet no one uses them.

Unfortunately, that game runs at 30 fps on the DS :(
Also, you are stuck with either the stylus, which can obsure your vision, or the d-pad plus buttons... ick! Must. Have. Dual. Analog. Sticks.

With the new 3DS coming out (dual analog), I'd love to see another sequel to galaxies.

I'm glad to see a few other people in this thread who loved GW: Galaxies. I liked it better than GW:RE2. Yeah, it's good on emulator, but it could stand for a few upgrades.

Why does everyone want a second when all the modes except sequence is in classic mode.. Its going to be that much better compared to two

Geometry Wars 2 RE basically is being retrofitted into Geo. Wars 3, they just added that feature like 2 months ago due to popular demand.....and as far as I remember leaderboards will be active with that. Buy Geo Wars 3 get all modes from 2 basically in it's own section.
