FPS drop after playing
Just wondering if anyone has suggestions that when i'm playing it starts out good at 60ish FPS then after 10-15 minutes of playing I will drop down to below 30 sometimes hitting 13 FPS even in the same areas I was when I started. Restarting the game seems to fix it for another 15 minutes. I understand its early access but just wondering if there is anything I could adjust other than resolution and quality that I might be missing. Thanks.

Without knowing the specifics of your entire build.
Intel users, make sure your bios has the latest update.
I'd try setting the render quality to medium and vsync to 0 and see how it goes.
If that didn't work, you can try going into Nvidia control panel and setting the Max FPS for the game to 60 and then increase from there and see how it performs.

I am having the exact same issue on two computers the game plays amazing for about 10 minutes and then theirs a massive FPS drop in combat / or towns . from 80 all the way to 10 fps the only fix i have found is to log out and back in and the game runs fine again for another 10 or so mins . My bios is up to date video cards are updated nvidia profiles i have fought with not having any luck .. hoping maybe we can get this issue fixed as its posted all over it makes the game unplayable virtually
I'm having the same issue...
Same issue, Did everything suggested in various reddit and forum posts, still no fix. Alot people have this on laptops or very high end systems.

Experience low frames as well. But not so low as stated above. Usually hovering around 50-55 fps. When monitoring my performance I notice my GPU usage is at 100% all the time. None of my other games actually uses 100%, more like 96/97% max. And that is heavy games like Mortal Online 2, COD BO6, Cyberpunk 2077, etc. Also I would have thought my CPU would be more utilized, but it's hovering around 40-50% usage.

I'm pretty sure I should have more than 50+ fps in this game with my current setup, but given this is Eearly Access I also understand it will need to undergo alot of performance profiling/optimizing.

Specs:
Intel I5-1240HX 8 core 12 threads @ 4.4Ghz
Intel iGPU disabled in BIOS
NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB
24GB DDR5 5800Mhz Ram
2TB m.2 SSD @ 7300/6600 mb/s

This is an update I received from one of our programmers:

These seem to boil down to people that are using laptops that have both IGPU and DGPU and are unable to disable the IGPU. If their laptop has a mux switch or a BIOS option (few have these options though) that allows them to disable the IGPU, that corrects the problem (trying to disable it in device manager doesn't work and isn't recommended). The other thing that seems to work is if they are able to plug an external monitor directly into their DGPU, such as with a display port or HDMI output from the DGPU.

In my situation I don't think this applies. Since I have had iGPU disabled from BIOS since I got my laptop. It only runs with the dedicated 4060 card.

Well, while playing my system runs on 7% CPU and 10-40% GPU usage stable, normal heat buildup, but FPS change from stable 60 FPS (capped there by nvidea settings) the first Hour gradually to 10 FPS. If i restart i get another hour of fluid gameplay again, then its losing FPS again. Everything possible ingame set to low or off.

Whats noticeable, if i join a group the FPS start to deorient faster. for example in the throne gobo caves i get 20 mins at most before i have to relog. I think it has to do with the massive amount of spell effects creating some lasting effects slowing you down even when they are not on screen, like some buffer gets filled up and bugs out. For example, 6 persons cast at the same time on multiple mobs ,its no problem for like 10 mins. Then i notice that the game gets slower when particles are on the screen, up to a point i start to get 15 to 30 fps when all are medding, as soon as one guy starts to cast it goes down to 10fps.

if i restart the Client its back to 60fps stable for a few pulls, then the problems start again.

Other games work properly with adequate settings, the fans n vents are cleared and no heat problems in other demanding games, nor in benchmarks.

Win 11, Acer AN517-52 the one with the 2060rtx
Bios and Drivers are the newest available from acer support.

its anoying, fix that.

Just allow us to disable other players' spell particles.

Seems it was a memory leak caused by particle effects and VFX. Considering that the problem only persisted around large groups of active party members fighting in the wild, I figured this might have been the problem.

The overall performance over time seems much better now.

Same and still the case. 5 different devices, 3 with massive fps drops that seem to begin when fog rolls around in game. Tested on steam deck (Windows and steam os), lenovo legion go, and a gaming laptop with ryzen 5 3550h and gtx 1650.
