Fox tails for alchemy
I cannot find normal foxes in Thorefast or AVP for the alchemy quest. I have murdered tons of young foxes and harvested their tails, but apparently they are not good enough for alchemy. I did make an Elf who started in West End, but I have not leveled high enough to kill a fox there. If West End is the only place to find normal foxes, how is one supposed to travel back and forth without being a wizard?

Have you checked the Mage's start area (near Availia)? There are both normal and Young foxes there.

Fox tails are easier to get in WE. You hadn't leveled to 4-5? They are right by the starting area.
