Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen

Performance much lower in comparison with my other games.
Does everyone have much lower performance in comparison with other games you play?
Im playing al my games in 1440p, high settings, and ik have a 4070 graka with latest drivers

In almost every other game i play i have at least 60+ fps with these settings.
Examples of recent played games: Stalker 2 , ashes of creation , Dragon age, frostpunk 2.

But in this game i dont seem to go above 45 fps.

Is this the case for everyone an due to not being optimized?
Or is it a beginner zone thing?

I was playing an earlier build back in September I believe and in the starting zone for human spellcasters I was receiving pretty poor performance despite having a high-spec PC.

Does this game use the Unity engine? If so, it is pretty easy to make games that run poorly with it.

It's the zone with the slightly crooked tower in the middle of an island.

From memory it's a highly modified version of unity, but you can only polish a t#%d soo much. :steamhappy:

Hm, a highly modified version of Unity, unless they have a source license, that wouldn't be the case, and at that point, better choices.

Your playing something thats still barely out of pre-alpha. Its why its having issues.

Personally, it runs fine. I would also wait for optimization. Most of us are here to build up the game, not tear it down over trivial matter.

Steam is absolutely, 1 billion percento, the wrong place to "Build up" something.

lulz....

If you are running the game on a laptop or PC with secondary GPU integrated hardware, Pantheon (like many steam games lately) will default to integrated GPU hardware.

Try checking your Nvidia or AMD card program manager settings to insure that the game has a hardware profile (I had to add the game to the profile manager manually). Make sure its set to High-Performance Nvidia Processor.

If your card lacks a graphics manager profile section, this can also be set up via Windows Graphics settings as an alternate method.

Keep in mind, that software programs in early working development are not usually well compiled and not commonly tweaked for performance. This is why software creating companies usually require very expensive hardware rigs, especially during the initial developmental phases.

The game is currently in its alpha stage. Minor bug quashing and performance enhancing measures do not commonly begin until the Beta phase.

45fps @ 1080p on a 4070 Super OC. It's showing it is only using 45% of my GPU and 30% of my CPU.

It's an engine issue more than anything right now. Something like this should be 200-300fps. Ideally locked to my refresh rate.

Seems to run ok for me.

I am running triple screen 7680 x 1440 with a 2080ti at max settings with 27fps, but on medium It stays in the green around high 40's to 50's. Still looks fine.

Though this isn't a long and consistent run in numerous zones, so I have no idea on that front.
I know this is very early and still a LOT of work to do, but this is kinda ridiculous. Went down from 3440x1440 and high to 1920x1080 at low to check... I gained ... 0 FPS. Running at ~45 in elf starting zone tops. Something is very wrong. And it's not just Unity.

Running 70-80 fps at 1440p on a RX 6800. smooth so far with little to no lag, high settings. I would like the option for some more advanced configurations for optimization eventually but looking good to start.

Elf in starting zone.

I'm running a 17" laptop with 11th gen i7 and 3070. Just did a re-paste also. On most games my CPU temps sit around 80 degrees. While in pantheon I'm hitting 90+ and see spikes of 104. At 105 my comp automatically shuts down. I don't feel this game is in a good playable state.
