There are areas of the world that aren't built yet and NO ONE can access them yet.
Do you have a specific spot that you're not able to get to that others are? If so I can pass it along as a bug.
Description: Access to an exclusive area in the game called the Founder’s Conclave. The Founder’s Conclave serves as a meeting place for its members and can be found in several in-game cities. Members can seek out allies, regale each other with tales of adventures, seek out lost tales or forgotten legends from those around them, re-equip before a new adventure, or work on their various crafts and skills.
There is no such area currently.
Also, that doesn't sound like somewhere that there would be content, just a private area to meet up I guess.
A already pre-established "old guard" area already being formed, extremely toxic and uninviting. Everyone else can kick rocks.
Yes but we will be missing content. An area not accessible to the "plebeians" bad enough everyone is walking around with custom plates tags and badges.
Our pledge community has been very good to us and have made the development of this game possible. We are privileged to honor that.
Sure, why not make them purchasable then. Everyone else now getting into it now are gatekept. I like to 100% my games, no longer possible.
I wouldn't worry too much, it's not going to offer anything that is exclusive. Anything that can be found in the founder's guild (if it even exists some day) will also be found outside of the founder's guild.
Let's cross compare a game, guild wars 2, has a lot of areas that you can't get to unless you got the "pass".
You can BUY access to those, only one you cannot is the top players in PVP, which even then, you can still obtain once you reach that threshold.
This game is in a "early access" more like a paid-access-alpha that has character wipes, we're basically still in the process of heavy development, why are these pledges cut off when the game becomes relevantly public access.
It's called FOMO and sunk-cost fallacy, both are horrible.
Yes, and guess what, I stopped playing those for the exact reason. I put up with it for awhile, but they started giving away my "high value" items away as twitch drops, basically free. Meanwhile there were things I wasn't given, it's either all available, or none of it is. Not a mixed bag.
So your argument only helped further my point.
The only exception would be if they sell expansions. What do people who don't buy the expansion experience? Not sure how that will be handled but my guess is they just won't have access to the expansion content.
