As far as gameplay is concerned, all the servers are the same.
But what does the number in parentheses mean next to the server and what does the pie circle on the other side mean? Picking a good active server is important so these things matter...
The pie circle is an indication of how many players are currently online (the fuller the circle the more players are currently online)
There is also the location indicator which could effect your ping a little, but in my experience not enough to matter in a game like this.
No it is current server population. Black Moon is usually 3/4 yellow or full red during peak hours but during off hours it can drop to green. Like right now at 1AM PST all the black moons are 1/2 green indicating moderate population but last night Black Moon 0 was full red and the other 2 were 3/4 yellow. When I first chose Black Moon on launch day it was 1/4 blue in the afternoon.
