Well then you did good and saved your cash
There are so many things, it'd take too long to list them all today. Just know that Project Gorgon is a better game than Pantheon and that Pantheon's population will soon match Project Gorgon's.
I would 100% disagree with this assessment. Tried project gorgon and just couldn't stomach it yet i play this game often.
Hopefully someone will post that it's still a thing. 🙏🙏🙏
not really; just remember it being clunky and bare bones and having countless issues so we dropped it. This game is like everquest but updated yet still early so you have invisible walls and such and from what i hear becomes very stale past level 20, but i heard alot of thing before coming in, and my highest is only 17.
Those are totally understandable! Like I once said, it's like we have paid our way to hang out in a huge theater where the sets of a play are being put together along with the writing, etc .❤️ Some areas are gonna be there but not really. Kinda like looking through a closed window.
They are super odd when they're in the middle of an open area and you can like still kinda go around them? 🤔🤔🤔
The avg number of players is about 1500 now according to SteamDB charts. So thats spread accross several servers, That means on any one server its about the same population as Project Gorgon most of the time. Like project gorgon, you'll be screaming in chat looking for a group or help also. But project gorgon has a lot more things to do and imo a much better game. Their is also a map so you can actually find your way around, has lots of quests, way way better crafting and some pretty cool dungeons.
Unlike Pantheon, soloing can be pretty fun and rexlaxing while actually making decent gains. Once you get to about level 20 in pantheon their nothing to do except grind solo or even with someone its still a giant grindathon.
On my friends and guild mates list most everyone has already left the game as well, I was in the largest guild on a server with 3 shards and it used to fill the screen with people online when I opened the panel, now just a few remain.
Their are a lot of other things that make the game just boring and tedious AF too.
Regrettably the combat played out like 99% of mmorpgs. In other words like an action rpg. High apm, low ttk, although I must give credit as sometimes the enemies actually did relevant damage to you and actually cost you mana.
There were some interesting shenanigans with multiple HP bars. Basically you could kill an enemy's mind or body or whatever.
I got very little from it beyond the inherent pleasing glow of an indie title.
My advise seriously? Avoid indy mmos
Like a ferrari is asking about the same price as a yugo what are you gonna pick?
There are plenty of 3A mmos that are f2p or with minimal cost now because the got older and need to be competitive play those
Not to mention several korean mmos like BDO and TnL that are a work of art but you only like them if you accept to grind a lot ,be competitive in pvp, or... swipe Yes there is some p2w in them
I know Im gonna get flammed by the indy lovers but I gave quite a few of them a chance and I got to the conlusion as far as mmos go always go for the 3A
You just cant have a small team with little money and little knowledge make them
For general gaming there are indys that are gems but mmos no
The reason we've all had to come here is because we're more interested in RPG combat.
That's why it's so puzzling when people flock here for the harsh death penalty or the group-centric nature or the sandbox nature. Those things never left the MMO genre. It was the RPG combat that was removed and replaced with intense action. That's the niche these games fill.
Although I did just see retail EQ and ffxi retained a bit more of that flavor than I thought.
FF14 Wow Swotor lotro I played all of them and I sincerelly believe they are worth more than Pantheon
But if it is the harsh death penalty or the no map you enjoy we can agree there is no other game in the market (maybe ff1 but I havent played since 2003)
