SO you want me to buy...
Ok so you want me to pay $40 for an EA title that any progress made in game play can be wiped at any time or numerous times. "Will EA have character wipes?

There will likely be periodic wipes, as needed.

Asking a player to pay $40 for a incomplete title that will likely be wiped as quoted from above. I am just ending there before i get into comments that need not be typed...

We intend to keep character wipes to a minimum, but we are a game still in development, so wipes may be necessary.

I have bought a few games that were in early development that included wipes, restarts, etc. It's not out of the ordinary, but at least they're up front about it so it's not a surprise. You know what you're getting before you buy.

You don't HAVE to buy it now, dude. You can wait. The rest of us that bought this understand what we are getting into and are trying to support the devs and help them make this game the best it can be. If you don't want to do that, just wait for release. It's legitimately a non-issue.

Just hold off man. It's fine. As others said it's par for the course to have wipes this early. Private servers in development even have to do the same. Just the way she goes. Wait a couple of years and enjoy a sale to boot.

Your contention with the developer statement remains with yourself. Its very clear there will be wipes, whilst in EA. What part of that is difficult to understand? In other news 2025 is coming so you may want stock up on supplies, as im not sure your going to manage!

Sounds like you have information that has helped you form a decision. I am not sure what your post is for. You read the intent, you do not agree with it and you should not purchase and just move on. There are many things in life I do not agree with and I do not put money into them. Pretty straight forward.

You can wait till release you know? Buy it then if this is such a deal breaker.

The Definition of Early Access has changed a while back. It now means.

"Accepting Donations to continue development. In return for your donation, you will receive unlimited access to test the game and give feedback to make the game better"

If you can not accept this definition, There are thousands of other games to play.

Also ... I gave $1,000 YEARS ago to help with development. Your baby tears matter not.

No, the concept of BETA TESTING got rolled into "Early Access" for Steam, and the one time a developer actually does real beta testing that isn't just lowkey free advertising for the game that they're going to ignore all feedback for anyway, some people freak out.

It's a beta. That's what you call the period before release when active development is still going on.

Whether or not someone wants to pay for access to that is entirely up to them, and has no relevance whatsoever to the quality of the developer, the game, or the other players.
