Good read , will put you into their heads. Also they want to rely on AI to develop their game , according to that article that is. No idea for what , but it is mentioned in the article.
So since Unity 6 does use AI , its probably why they pushed back this current patch to transfer over to Unity 6 with it upgrades to its AI capabilities.
The only goal is to keep the grift going. Once sales slump (already happening), they'll switch to subscription model and reduce thebase price for the game to 19.99
Ah interesting. The AI aspect makes Unity 6 more understandable. I'm curious if they will be open with how they use AI.
I hope you're wrong.
This game is hanging by a thread. It has potential, but a lot has to go right for it to really succeed long term.
It will talk more then a small population of dedicated fans and it is doubtful all of them will be dedicated enough to pay for subscriptions, etc.
My opinion, but I feel a pretty good bet on what happened.
That is true, however I have used the climbing system in the game to find some hidden treasure chests... so that's cool.
EA will last 1-2 years.
Though i doubt they would admit it, it seems likely the development had reached a do or die state. Put something out, or shut it down. (no data here, just my guess).
But to be honest, i've already gotten more hours and fun out of this then i have full priced, finished AAA games. And i'm not even bored yet. So all things considered, i'd say they did a good job.
As far as the Unity 6 update, from what i've read, U5 has a lot of bottlenecks that were holding things up. Supposedly U6 will allow them to do more, faster. It was said they already have some things done, but were just waiting for U6, which should be coming this tues i think.
"Four?"
"Four, Bob."
