No consistency in the quest or crafting items names !?!?

I have the " Training Shields (Carpentry)" quest and I have to "Create 5 Maple Round Shields", so I made them, but I made five maple bucklers that are also "Maple Round Shields".

Then I find out that I should be making "5 Crude Small Shield", not a "Maple Round Shield" at ALL! So wrong items, off to waste hours again collecting maple logs!

And a "Crude Small Shield" needs, according to the recipe, a "Small Shield Face", but wait for it, it is REALLY a "Maple Small Shield Blank" that you have to learn and craft!

So none of the names match, what I am told I have to make, what I actually have to make, the parts names don't even match what you need to craft.

Do the developers not care about consistency in their item names? Is this the way the whole game is, a total lack of detail?

Not Alpha, it is early access and the beginner's experience is awful. Anyway, it would have nothing to do with "alpha mechanics" anyway, it's just plain shoddy workmanship.

I am not a fan of the crafting system. I know this is still "early" but one has to question how many of these things were greenlit and by whom. Why put in random things only to know you have to change them later. You're putting your hands on something twice or three times after passes that should only have been done once and then tweaked. I can only suggest that the covid years had an impact on things, working from home, sharing files, video conferencing..uggg. Regardless, there are things to evaluate. It all comes down to time, team, and talent. We will see.

Quests are garbage
Most of my 1-5 level quests never were completed due to the ridiculous places items are or the rarity or just plain bugged.

Hand saw
Silver spoon
Thug Ringleader that I have never seen spawn in 4 shards from me levelling from 8 to 19
Frost crystal ( quest given at level 12 .... you supposed to enter level 25 elite cave to get it ...bloody ridiculous )

Lazy devs , lazy coding to get around not having to add actual content.
Why they making Druid class when the game is over by level 20
How many groups you see doing level 20+ content.... days now I not seen
Everyone just rolls a new alt because they are bored and can easily twink out a new character in T3 gear and cruise.
