Unreal Engine supports .ini files that in some cases are accessible in the directories of games shipped using the engine. Please note we do not offer support for these .ini files, and in some cases, like V-Sync we do not use the settings set in them. We have an internal save file that is specific to our titles, and some video settings are managed internally through our save file.
Just noting this here as we've seen community members confused why custom editing .ini files is not having the expected effect. We're taking feedback on this and trying to provide more options, but in some cases, given the cross-platform nature of our games where we also ship on consoles, it's sometimes necessary for us to take direct control of these settings and ignore the .ini files.
