H PATTERN SHIFTER DOESNT WORK [FIXED]

the th8 h pattern shifter is leaving me with unassigned for every gear please help/fix.

working in conjunction with a DFGT (no clutch pedal)

My Thrustmaster TH8A shifter won't assign to the gears when you select H pattern either.

thats what i mean yes, when i select it to be assigned it reverts back to unassigned meaning it IS seeing some sort of input, just refusing to accept it.

my t500 and th8rs both work fine in cluth and h shifter mode, you probably already have but make sure you select the proper profile for your wheel before selecting h shifter mode. Once i had the t500 profile selected i never had to map a single button to my wheel or shifter.

maybe its because im using shifter with no clutch mode? i dont have a clutch pedal thats the problem, i have the DFGT which is force feedback but no clutch

Could it be that the shifter works if it's connected to a wheel and not directly to the pc?

no, most likely the other way round, my th8rs connects straight to the pc using usb. Or it currently doesnt like using thrustmaster shifters with non thrustmaster wheels?

Once you have Set your prefered wheel in the control settings, go to Your Profile, Game Settings and then see if you can select H Shifter with or without Clutch.

The first time in game, you have to select the gearbox before actually setting your controller, so H shift may not even show up.
That is what happened with my G25 so I selected Sequantial Manual, when i had a fiddle about later after selecting the G25 profile, I found I could select H shifter mode in My Profile / Game Settings.

I too have the same problem with a TH8A, and nevertheless I have a clutch...
It is really disheartening...

So there is no answer to this?? My wheel/shifter/pedals are not being recongnized at all.

In the controls, I selected a "preset" first, which included my entire G27 setup, and then I just switched a few buttons, all the gears are there. Are you changing to a T500 preset first, then inputting the gears?

Either way, wouldn't it be more fun to just set it up as clutch+Sequential? :P

I dont think the game supports more than 1 usb input device. I have my padals plugged seperatly and I cant get them to assign.

Be nice to be proven wrong. Easy fix when enough people complain it will get sorted.
