SimVibe/Sim Commander Profile?
Any news on whether this will (or already does, with dirt 3's profile etc) work with Simvibe like previous dirt and grid games?

i got it working with the dirt2 plugin in sim commander 4 just fine, you will need to edit the hardware settings xml file by hand however

good stuff, any extra info you can give about editing the xml file would be greatly appreciatd! <3
The file is Documents/My Games/DiRT Rally/hardwaresettings/hardware_settings_config.xml, find the line that starts with <motion, and replace the entire line with:

<motion enabled="true" extradata="3" delay="1" port="10001" ip="127.0.0.1" />

Setup a new game profile in sim commander, use the Dirt2 plugin, then change the exe (browse to the dirt rally folder, and select drt.ext) and change the wait for exe to drt.exe, then create a profile for it (or as i did, just change my existing dirt profile to use the new dirt rally game)
Hi, i've uploaded my profile to simexp. owners club.... but basicaly i've used ah dirt3 profile that again uses the grid2 plugin! i'm also using DashMeterPRO (RBR) Gauge on an old Android Phone and it works really great :) just edit the line in the hadware_settings_config.xml as dchote posted above -> Codemaster schema for all games i guess :)
cheers guys, worked a treat, although seems like some of the forces are completely out of whack using the dirt2 exe plugin (feeling the road texture when in mid air etc). I'll fiddle around with the forces in simvibe to try and make it better but it seems like they'll need to make their own proper plug in for them to feel correct, still, currently better than having no tactile feedback at all in my rig, thanks again guys!
check my profile... i've tuned it allready a bit.... and disabled a couple of overlapping forces!

If you could link me to the post with the profile or let me know what your name is on the forums that would be awesome, been searching on them and cant find any profiles to download.
go into simxperience control center, goto settinsg, under game create ah new game "Dirt Rally" (Grid2 Steam Game Plugin, choose the path to the drt.exe file), then goto sim-setup buttons tab, create a new profile, choose there "from owners club" and from the game drop-down you can should be able to choose then dirt rally... if you then search for it you should see my profile!
ah, by the sounds of it your using the sim commander 4 beta, and i dont have access to it until its public :( i dont have the option to choose "from owners club", just "install-n-drive" file.

Do you have a link to this page. I also have simvibe, but cant see the sim commander 4 link. I just bought this program this week. i actually bought it specifically for this game, but learned its not officially supported yet. I have yet to use it on this game.

Finally figuring out how to do things with it. Its a cool program. though a bit expensive, but it also runs motion.

At the moment all I have is extensions mode. I just ordered the remaining transducers for chassis mode.

Thanks
on the order page of simexp. where you get the v3 key there should be like a 2nd order with the v4 key! the software is worth the money and there are a couple of games that runs on this one... and basically every software that generate telemetrie output is capable of powering some shakers :)

by myself i also just have one seat shaker... but i'll bought 2 small shakers and a small amplifier for the pedals and shifter :)
I already contacted support, no reply as of yet. I really want to set it up to Dirt Rally. Primarily I want to feel the gear grind. This game like to make the gear pop out or not go in. If i had a vibration that felt grindy I would know the shifter needs to be re-engaged again instead of looking at the gauge.

On my orders page it has 2 entries. One says shipped the other does not. one says i paid with paypal the other says credit card. I only paid $90 with my paypal. I did not use a credit card which is also weird.

Whats on my orders page. Personal info removed for obvious reasons.

sorry link isn't workign anymore... but doesn't mind.. i've to entrys too... as this is an software i guess it can't be really shipped.... and the new version was getting added after you bought v3....

for the gear issues i can agree... sometimes the gear pops out, but the issue is if the game doesn't provide proper dbox/simmotion output, simvibe can't do anything about it... the just using the information that the game make available for motion simulators and simvibe puts that into the right informations for the transducers..
