[Solved] Thrustmaster F430 FFB - Force Feedback not working on Dirt Rally but is working on other games
My Thrustmaster Ferrari 430 force feedback racing wheel is not giving any force feedback in Dirt Rally (1) but it works fine in Dirt 4/Project Cars etc (lot of feedback, rumble, light/heavy etc). I just tried out Dirt 3 and there i have the same problem (no feedback). Steering Wheel works as it should in Dirt Rally/Dirt 3 (controls/steering work) but there is NO feedback what so ever. Tried the following so far:
- new drivers (current: 2018_FFD_2)
- other USB ports (3.0/2.0)
- check game files
- reinstall game
- change around all feedback options in-game
- change around all feedback options in game-controller settings
- turned off steam-overlay (dont know why, but somebody said this would work)

I cant seem to find the answer to my problem! Desperately need some help...
Anyone?

I tried installing older drivers various times until i found the (correct) working drivers.
Drivers:
- 2018_FFD_2 (Did not work)
- 2017_FFD_1 (Did not work)
- 2016_FFD_4 (Worked)

So my advice, keep trying older drivers until you find a driver that works. installing the 2016_FFD_4 drivers fixed the force feedback issue i had in Dirt Rally and Dirt 3.

Thanks for the tip! I probably never would have tried old versions of the driver to fix FFB. I only had Dirt Rally, so I wasn't sure what FFB should feel like, and I wasn't sure if it was working or not. Then I played Dirt 4 (with working FFB) and I realized what I had been missing.

Having anything saved/selected in steam>options>controller settings can cause problems within racing titles- especially wheels. These settings are intended for big picture mode and do not support input devices except game pads.

I have no controller saved/selected in Steam\Settings\General Controller Settings. This does not resolve my issue.

I dont know how your comment relates to this topic but having said that, your "friend" has some serious overkill issues. Double 2080ti is pretty much useless on any Racing Sim that is out until this day!

So, where did you happen to find these older drivers? I'm having the same issues with my T300RS. Can't seem to find anything other than the newest driver on the website.
