transparent textures showing dots

Has anyone seen this anomaly? Is this caused by Anti Aliasing in the engine ? With it turned off its still there but not as bad. Anyone have an idea on how to smooth this out ?

Noticed this from day one, seems to be a texture mesh, tried various graphics settings to no avail, learnt to live with it. I suspect buggy dds texture.

Its the same problem like here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/310560/discussions/1/611704730327812548/

Du you have a AMD card?

Please make pressure so that codemasters get aware of this.

Codemasters are aware of it. They told me to fill out a bug report on AMD'S drivers. So , done that. I guess now we play the waiting game .. or the blame game ...whichever comes first. :/

gpu's :
295x2 -yes
290x in crossfire - yes
280x -yes

haven't tested my nvidia cards yet.... changing them out now.

So I took as look at the hardware config.xml and found a couple of interesting things, first oculus enabled, was set to true, wrong edited to false, then meshes I edited to false and no more messy meshes, or dots. Hope this helps, by the way running R7 260X FX- 9590 x 8 and 16GB DDR3 1866 RAM

I have the exact same problem from day one, mainly the trees look bad as in your pic in OP.

Corsair Vengeance 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 722MHz

You can try to force Super Sample Anti Aliasing. It will cure those dotty textures but it has a very bad effect on performance.

I have upped the MSAA setting and the dots are less noticeable, still getting pretty reasonable framerates 40-60 fps. I can live with it now looks way better but before it looked real bad.

It's a tree texture thing, I also MSAA x 8, I'm going to try MLAA in CCC, I see Glenn37216 thet you're running crossfire so could be related to that, I run single GPU nowadays, there's another discussion about this issue on these forums. The other thing I noticed was Config kept forcing a lower resolution, but after 3 tweaks it accepted my 1920x1080 res. How did the nVidia cards go, because it does seem to be AMD only. Checked again and no meshes showing. Got to go back to Audio ripping now, check later.

It's just an AMD problem. All my Nvidia rigs was smooth as butter with...... no dots !
Here's a video (not mine) of dirt rally @ 4k on an nvidia rig .. gtx980.

go to full screen... notice no dots ?

Thanks for the link ~! I filled it out already...but thats great for other users.
Honestly though , for me I'm just done with this brand. too many recent game releases have been botched by AMD in some form or another. Maybe it was because they've been missing a General Manager over the computing /graphics dept since early this year but I'm just tired of the excuses from team red. Talked to an AMD rep and they're blaming this thing on the game engine... when in fact codemasters has said this is amd's driver causing the issue.

I'm putting my AMD gpu's on the back burner until things get drastically better .
-Off to enjoy another great title with zero issues or anomalies on my Nvida based rig .

Glenn37216 Jun 13, 2015 @ 7:55am
..just bought a 390 at best buy and guess what folks ? the transparent dotted bug is still there ! so much for thinking the 3xx series were going to be the miracle cards of AMD.

- off to get my refund and put the rest of my Red cards up forsale on [H]ardForums.
