What degree rally motorsport wheels actually uses? 360? 540? 900?
At 360 i would say its too tight for contol (FFB is superb though)
At 540 it's too loose and not hairpin friendly?

What say you?
430? Or even 240?

about 550

A few years ago, after digging quite heavily into the matter, majority of info I found suggested that WRC rally cars, along with GT1 and 3 cars use around 540 degrees.

I'm running 540, car is too twitchy with lower. It becomes hard to correct due to the risk of overcorrection. I find you don't need massive lock for hairpins anyway since the key is to throw the cars weight in and get the back end around with the offthrottle oversteer/handbrake and then countersteer on exit.

Rather than trying to full lock turn around it.

540 is a pretty real value, I too have investigated the real values for various forms of motorsport, 540 is also what I am using on my little Thrustmaster TX, but with a 320mm custom Rim, which makes it feel slightly geared up which is nice. HTH

I use < 500 but the issue I have now is I need to use a paddle as a handbrake, so until I get that sorted out I can't have the wheel rotate too much. But I agree withothers, it becomes very twitchy. The best is > 500 for sure.

Real life sports cars are typically 720 > 900
Group N Rally car are typically 900 degrees, the same as a typical production car.
WRC Rally car's are from 520 > 720 degrees depending on the event & drivers preference.

540 for everything but the 60's FWD cars which I use 600 with.

For what it's worth, I'm using paddles to shift and the clutch pedal as a handbrake... All the other solutions really don't work when they involve having the handbrake mapped to my wheel. There is no easily solution though, ahh well.

Mother of... why didn't I think to use the clutch?? You sir are a godsend, thank you!

I use 240 actually. I found 540 to feel to "loose" at this point in development. Without good FFB, I cannot tell what is going on at 540 with the car. For some reason, I drive better with the lower degrees of rotation.

Currently driving the Lancia in the Professional Class placing 2-4th on most stages. The AI times are crazy fast IMO.

Wait until you get to masters, you will cancel your driving licence when you see how fast they are!
