Fordítási probléma jelentése
I knew from previous Codemasters titles running the Ego engine that it was better to use a negative linearity and it did help somewhat but the problem still persists. Also had to drop the FFB values to get a better feel.
I had no problem steering the Stratos through turns but had a hell of a hard time keeping a line on the fast straight sections. Btw I just completed a championship at professional level finishing 2nd in all three events with it.
So is it because of my settings (see above) or just need to wait for the announced FFB fix? (I did see others with similar issue though.)
If you keep tweaking configuration files that relate to a placeholder-ffb (carry-over from the dark-ages of arcady Codies' games)... ...you are indeed "polishing a turd". Nothing wrong with polishing a turd, really - if you like doing that sort of thing rather than properly playing a racing/rally sim.
I'd suggest to not mess with such files - as the developers have requested us until they finish their work on the supposedly entirely-re-done ffb component.
did not mean to acuse you of the stupid things OTHER players seem to do (RD "ffb-fix"). I have actually tried one of those "fixes" with my own G25, it did not up the quality of ffb one bit - just made it screw up differently.

I had no trouble with the FFB and I gotta say that it's pretty damn good like game.
i use 340 wow 8) so joyfull, what emptybox was complaining about?
Usually, most sims are configured this way:
Overall 100%
Spring 0%
damper 0%
centering force unticked
wheel set at 900% report combined unticked
use special and allow adjust both ticked
then, go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DiRT Rally\forcefeedback and make a backup copy of effectsetup.xml and paste this in place of what's already there, replacing all that is there:

In game, go with what you feel is right... use low wheel weight, not more than 20-30%.

Meszes, if you finished a professional championship in 2nd place in all 3 events, I'd say you're doing pretty well with your current settings! There's nothing wrong with trying out different wheel settings though. Try some of the suggested ones that use a positive linearity. It will have a different feel than settings with negative linearity. If you try out what I posted, it will give you a wheel rotation that's similar to what you're experiencing now, but mine's got a little bit more rotation.
Don't forget to pause then restart every stage so the game applies your in-game wheel settings properly. (I don't think they addressed that yet with today's patch)
The Stratos is RWD, so, as I'm sure you realize, it's going to handle a lot differently with that type of powertrain than FWD or 4WD vehicles. Try out the Group A Lancia Delta HF Integrale or something from Group B like the Ford RS200 or Lancia Delta S4. You'll probably find you're able to hold a straight line better.
Keep on driving! Sounds like you're doing well.
Personally, I just edit my global profile settings, but if you want to create one for Dirt Rally:
In the Logitech Profiler, click "Profile", click "New", name your profile, click "Browse" and find the executable. something like Program Files (x86)/steamapps/common/DiRT Rally/drt.exe
once you click drt.exe, the icon for Dirt Rally should show up under the "browse" line in the profiler. click that icon to set it for the game and then click ok. that's it, you're done and ready to set up your specific game settings
If for some reason you can't get your specific game settings to work properly, just edit the global device settings. guaranteed to work.
I spent a whole lot of time playing with settings in the profiler and in-game before I settled on something I'm comfortable with. Regardless, the game is hard, and the 1960's FWD cars you start out driving are not enjoyable to drive even if you have your wheel settings dialed in. Once I moved on to the Group B and Group A cars, I was thrilled. The Lancia Fulvia just feels wrong to me, and the Mini just bounces all over the place. Since I only play with cockpit view, this wasn't much fun at the beginning. I'm loving this game though, despite the fact that it's hard.
No problem. BTW, like I've been telling everyone I can, make sure you pause the game at the start of every stage, then hit continue to apply your in-game wheel settings. that will make a big difference.
