because sometime I slide sideways and I need to reverse to avoid cliff, But I just cant because my car is moving DUH!
While I accept that I can look at the double-brake to find reverse as the shifting time, it is very frustrating if you come to a complete stop, let go of the brake in order to tap it again, but in that time the car is on an incline and so starts rolling at 0.01mph and you have to stop again.
If you're going less than 1mph then you should be able to find reverse.
So just choose semi auto gears, or whatever it's called (next to automatic) It's the same as automatic, only you have the option to click up or down gears, it's like having the pseudo manual option in a road car that's otherwise an automatic.
Also, don't think that slamming it into reverse to stop yourself going headlong into a cliff is going to work - it will *ALWAYS* be faster to brake than it will to have your wheels spinning in reverse.
I suppose if that's my only big gripe it's a pretty damn good game then huh? I will also say getting the feel in my Thrustmaster TX wheel has been a challenge, and while it's okay now it's no where near as good as any of the other sims I play.
