why is everyone so friggin demanding on these forums though lol....
the part of holding the brake for 25% or more to browse is a new related issue that i didnt see before
doing it exactly this way, button mappings and advanced wheel settings are mismatched again after restart(back to default)
is there any way to change default button mappings and settings in some config file???
its still stupid anyway, because using only wheel for menus navigation will have combined buttons (for liveries and quick menu, for example)
under
'D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally\input' edit config file of your supported controller (for me its 'lg_momo_racing.xml'),
and set whatever you want, keep in mind that buttons starts with number '0', and deadzone and saturation '1.00' means 100%,
you can also change menu and replay mappings to keyboard
<!-- FE Actions -->), (<!-- Replay/Youtube Actions -->,
which works well EXCEPT F3 and F4 (keyboard codes "vk_code_0x72" and 0x73) when changing liveries or changing stage conditions (cant manage this - if you want change these, just set control preset to 'keyboard', and at stage start set it back to 'Logitech controller...' - all your settings will be back).
change at your own risk, always make a copy!
Even more egregious is the handbrake doesn't have a set maximum, so those of us with analog handbrakes are forced to rebind controls AGAIN after a some playtime because the max is too far, and can't start a damn stage.
Check these titles out if you like rally games.
Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO Has a nice sales pitch, Like it could be the next RBR, but Mile Stone is the dev, and they have a poor track record of patch work after release.

WRC5 and the dev is not milestone. Thank god. This might be the first proper WRC game.

Seriously, how hard can it be to provide even the simplest thing of saving the controls?
