on plus note to make sure i wasnt hallucinating i went back to rbr it feels great. wish id given $30 to their modders tho
If you find the steering to be a bit heavy and rubbery turn the wheel weight down a bit, rally cars do not have heavy steering, they have to be able to flick the wheel around quite quickly.
My RW rallying was back in the 70's with the escort, only club rally but the car steering was quite light, and no power steering back then.
This. When I did my rally day at Phil Price's Rally School, the steering was feather light whereas it always seems to be really heavy by default in these games. I've turned it down to about 40% strength and 20% weight (might be the other way round, cant remember).
FFB definitely needs to be more realised, it feels spongey and unresponsive at the moment. Constructive feedback as its early access :)
1. Go to the Thrustmaster (T300RS etc.) Racing Wheel Control Panel
2. Select "Gain Settings" -tab
3. Set "Auto-Center Settings" to "by the wheel"
4. Set percentage to 40%
There is no coding in the FFB effects xml file for vibrations on the road and differential effects on varying surfaces either.
Compare the file with those from Dirt 2 and 3, and Grid A/Sport. They have, for some inexpicable reason, stripped it from he game.
I'm not playing it any more until they address this issue. I'm of, to sulk !
Quite frankly, it is incredulous. Incredulous I say !
I agree, Why would you play a game that is unplayable! I know its early acces ( beta?) but seriously, if you call it a *sim* atleast have decent ffb, I would play the game with 1 car and 1 track if the ffb and physics were correct. Hopefully it will be fixed:)
