Ford Escort MkII Advanced Tuning
I'll preface this by saying I'm a huge noob at racing/rally games, but I love this one to bits.

Has anyone got any tips regarding advanced tuning specifically for the Ford Escort Mk II?

I am pretty lost in the amount of stuff you can tweak in this, and I'm guessing the setup depends entirely on the track surface...but are there any rules of thumb I can abide by to get the most out of the car?

As a noob it's best not to mess around with that. Just keep it standard is my advice.

I've found that setting the rear suspension softer than the front and setting the differential to soft helps, specially coming out of hairpins, try that if you want. If you set the car suspension very hard, it will make the car a lot more twitchy. Keep it in a middle to soft range and it will be easier to control.

Since the game is still EA, I wouldn't be doing too much unless you actually know the dynamics of Rally driving
This isn't liek previous 4 Dirt games where you can just think changing 1 settings nets you any sort of result
I changed my gear box for harder acceleration and found I was obviously netting less speed, why? spinning wheels much more and stuck in same gear...
