Low FPS with GTX 970

Why am I getting an average of 25 FPS (According to the benchmark) on Ultra with a GTX 970? Is this game unoptimized or what? And no, my processor is not bottle necking. I have an AMD 8350.

Intel fan-boy detected. I never said it was a high end CPU. I just know that it doesn't bottleneck with the 970. Get off your high horse please. I like AMD because of how affordable they are and you get good performance for the price you pay.

Intel cpus destroy AMD for some years now, and it does affect fps in games. Go read some benchmarks if u wish.

AMD FX processors on Price/Performance are really really good.

Yes, Intel has processors that will destroy all the AMD Processors, but they're way more expensive than the AMD's.

an FX-8350 should be enough to run this game at the highest performance, I myself have an FX-8320 and GTX 960 G1 setup.

Still performance is all that matters. Price points are for sales and what is in your budget. Just don't fool yourself, Intel has the better product. Also, how much ram do you have? I recommend at least 8gig, 16 if possible. Check all your drivers are up to date as well.
I run an Intel 4770K, 16 gig ram, 2 gtx 670 in SLI and on high to ultra mix. runs around 60 fps.

Was an AMD guy too, just waited till prices came down and got the best I could (usually a generation behind) and worked out well.

I run it on 970 gtx with some average MB and Intel CPU and get >100 FPS on ultra in 1080p, so can't really see what could be causing the problem.
As usual, update your drivers, and make sure you don't have DSR set to on in Nvidia panel properties, maybe this could help (unless you are using something like triple monitor config).

Advanced Blending is an fps hog, disable it.

i am similar to this but gpu is single gtx970

game defaulted to ultra settings,
i saw this advanced blending thing and turned it on and ran the benchmark

ran benchmark... didnt see helluva much visual difference other than frame rate is 74fps worst anywhere i seen and 100+ sometimes... heh

this will run your cpu hard 40% usage sometimes, with the 8 'cores' of the 4770k
which is about as high as i seen it for a game really

it seems a v well balanced and good throughput engine

but yeah advanced blending is a horro r:D

Tyrn off the advanced blending.....That will drop your frame rate to under 1/2 of what it is when off.
