As in: I like to hear a decent engine-note. As long as I do not have to give up my hearing-organs for it. "look at me, I have a loud beast" is just "meh!". Not interesting. At all! Difficult to explain to some folks that I love performance cars and - driving, yet I despise overblown loudness like the plague
Also, damn you liberal communist hippies
I think there is room for both and if you are like me ( like both ) you are on a winner. :)
It would be in it's own class and I'd imagine it would add another interesting challenge - the change of audio being one of them. Nobody forces you to play it then, though, since of course, all the other cool & loud cars will still be there ...
Think you've taken this a few steps over and above my one line ands turned most of it into something I never said.
I never mentioned the word 'loudness' even at all. there is nothing like the sound of a tuned engine on the edge an that even applied to the F1 V12's. And they were so much on the edge than any car I can literally think of. What does volume have to do with anything I have said?
But as an aside I don't care less if it's a lawnmower engine or a tuned V8 - it's the visceral part with is the exitement, and the dirt, and the oil, and the splutters, and the whine and the explosions and the exhaust and the heat and the fire...
I hate digital...
Better...? :-)
Smells like DLC opportunities.
I'm hoping the Dr is joking...
Ah, I was thinking you were making it up about the fake engine noises. Still not for me it's all about knowing you are driving a physical beast and not just an excercise in ameter readings and talking in kilowatts - yuk!
No please don't get me wrong. I'd actually like to have fake engine (or some other artificial) noise. Because part of my driving clearly relies on knowing which gear I'm in and hearing the engine noise. It's just that distracting "look on the speedo" thing vs. just feeling my speed through my ears. I believe electric engines are awesome, but I have trouble dealing with them when they're silent.
No shi1t Batman.
Engine = Fun = BHP
I wasn't thanking you...
