In fact, those are the two that confuse me.
SemiAuto: is like the auto but you can change gears manually anytime.
Mechanically, they're actually a kind of manual 'box with two clutches and gearshafts-one for odd-numbered gears and the other for evens. That means you don't need to engage gears; the system just swaps between the two shafts, which is a lot faster and can be done even at full throttle and max RPM.
Manual is fully manual, including clutch and lift.
Automatic does everything for you.
Sorty, for ressing such an old topic, but its still actual, so no reason to create new one.
I have a problem in DR, although its not the case in other racing games.
I have Thrustmasrer Ferrari GT with seq. padfles, and changing gears is not even close to change "as fast as I press", moreover it ignores my paddles pressing until around one second has passed since it changed the gear.
It turns out to be a problem on some corners, but esp. when I get to switch between Rear and any other, keeping in mind that I also get to bypass Neutral gear.
Is it conflict of the game with my controller, or can it be fixed by tweaking something in the game itself?
For those, who assumes it being realistic, spoiler alert, its not. I was driving a car with sequential paddles IRL, and it was not particularly racing car, and it was reacting to me pressing paddles as fast as I could press.
That delay isn't normal and it certainly isn't realistic, even primitive paddle-shift cars from the early '90s were faster than that.
Let's start with the obvious causes; check your User Settings and make sure the trans is actually set to Semi-Auto/Sequential and saved.
