What do FoV numbers mean?
How many degrees is 1.0? 0.5? Why would anyone even use decimals to describe degrees of field of view?

I am looking for number close to 90-100 degrees. If anyone could tell me how much 1.0 is that would be even better, because I determine each FoV number using that.

Default FoV (0.5) apears to be 70. So max FoV (1.0) is 140?
If it is then 0.7 should be what I'm looking for.
Can the devs please put the FOV values in horizontal degrees? The arbitrary values that are used make no sense. Gamers are familiar with horizontal degrees.

This should be common sense from a developers perspective.

0.0 = 30degrees, 1.0 = 70degrees
Where did you get that info?
Would it mean 68° would be 1/(70-30) * (68-30) = 0,95?

Vertical or horizontal? If vertical how does it translated to horizontal on 16:9 screen?
Here is a calculator to get the vertical fov for a given horizontal fov:

To get the perfect horizontal fov this page is quite good:

Thank you.

It looks like I need to run it near the max to get FoV I usually use. Cockpit looks so wierd on 0.8 and higher though, I think I'll stay at 0.7
