[SOLVED]G27 Suddenly not detected anymore!
Hi! :)

Now I've got a major issue. I've had the game since Day 1 of early access, my G27 have worked flawless all this time.
Today, DiRT Rally suddenly didn't detect my wheel, and no matter what I do, the game does not detect my steering wheel. It detects my keyboard, it detects any gamepad I plug in, just not my wheel.
This goes for DiRT Showdown as well, but in every other game my wheel get's detected, it can be rFactor, Stock Car Extreme, GTR, Richard Burns Rally, Off-Road Drive etc.
So the issue is solely for Codemasters games, and just happened today.
There has been no change on my PC from yesterday to today, no drivers, nothing installed, nothing removed.

Try to start with controller and then unplug the controler Dirt will say you have to put the controler back in and than connect your wheel. It worked on my system

Do you have Nvidia's GeForce Experience installed? Remove it.

Didn't try it, because I decided to use that at my third choice here, as the game doesn't detect the wheel, so in theory it shouldn't be able to see that it is disconnected.

Didn't work, also, it is detected in the LGS, and in every other game but DiRT Rally & Showdown.

Yes I have, but I've had that all along, no reason that is shouldn't work this today, but you were right. Uninstalled it, and now it works :S

Thanks for all tips and help :)

Reboot worked for me, no uninstalls needed.
(I have Nvidia's GeForce Experience running normally with the game)

Ye, always better to reboot before uninstalling things. However, if a reboot won't fix it ;)

I know this is a bit old, but this was the answer to get my G27 working. I tried all others... fail. Removing GFE worked. :steamsalty:

You probably didn't need to uninstall GFE. Most of the times what causes the issue is GFE Beta, Share and Shadowplay. Make sure you're not using any of them, or try to find which of them is causing the issue.

Beta tends to be the issue, after I stopped using the betas of GFE it have never stopped working :)

DR v1.22 - Thrustmaster T500RS not detected.
Uninstall NVidia GEForce Experience, reboot, fixed.

So I did some testing on this for those who were too lazy. I use the GeForce Experience Beta, Current Version as of now (3.0.4.35)

I uninstalled and the wheel worked. Not good enough for me. I found that turning the Share slider off along the Shield Stream (slide is on the shield tab) allowed my wheel to work. I am able to slide it on and off when I need and still keep my Experience. I expect this to get resolved at some point.

Hope this helps! :rlgizmo:

I have had major problems with the G920 with latest Logitech driver 8.84.15 with Dirt Rally if I move any usb devices on any other port, unplug or put a new one in then Dirt Rally won't give me the H-Pattern + clutch option. If anything was changed I would have to reinstall the driver, reboot for dirt to see it. I told Codemasters and Logitech and bother either don't know how to resolve this or don't respond.
Luckily I just rebuilt my old fanatec csr and it's working fine. Odd only Dirt has an issue with the Logitech drivers. Project Cars works fine.

There is also problem with if you assign Pause to a certain button, or if it`s assigned in the
Logitech Profiler. But maybe that was for DiRT4. Just a thought..

I have had all kinds of problems with Logitech. When using Logitech headset, mouse and
wheel together, only certain older versions of LGS would work. So maybe try different
versions of LGS. Safest way to get it right with LGS is to disconnect all logitech cables
before you install.

Just throwing out some ideas here...

Cheers :)
